You Have the Truck. You Just Need the Muscle. Not every customer needs a moving company to handle the entire job. Maybe you already rented a truck. Maybe you have a trailer, moving container, or storage unit ready to go. Maybe a friend is handling the transportation but nobody is particularly excited about carrying a sectional couch down three flights of stairs.
That is where loading and unloading help makes sense. 2 Friends Trucking and Moving provides loading and unloading services in Delta, BC for customers who have transportation arranged but still need help with the physical side of the move. You pay for the help you actually need instead of turning a straightforward labour job into a full moving package. |
Loading the Truck Properly MattersGetting everything onto the truck is not only about making it fit. The order matters. Large furniture usually needs to be considered early because it takes up more space and is harder to move around once the truck starts filling up. Boxes also need to be placed in a way that makes sense. Heavy boxes should not be sitting on top of lighter ones. Fragile belongings should not disappear underneath furniture. If the customer has everything packed and ready before the moving team arrives, the loading process can move much faster. Close and seal the boxes. Clear the walkways. Separate anything that is not going onto the truck. If something is especially heavy or awkward, mention it before the appointment.
The same goes for stairs, elevators, narrow entrances, or long walking distances between the property and the truck. None of that means the job cannot be done. It simply helps to know what we are walking into. |

Unloading Is Easier When There Is a Plan
The same principle applies at the destination. If every box is labelled, unloading becomes much simpler. Bedroom boxes can go toward the bedrooms. Kitchen belongings can go toward the kitchen.
Furniture can be directed to the right rooms instead of being dropped wherever there happens to be space. A few minutes of organization can save customers from moving the same furniture twice later. We can help unload rental trucks, trailers, portable moving containers, and other moving setups depending on the situation.
Customers might be arriving at a house, apartment, condo, office, or storage facility. Some only need unloading help. Others need us at the starting location for loading as well. Both options can make sense.

Loading and Unloading Around DeltaOur loading and unloading services are available throughout Delta and nearby communities.
Customers use this service for residential moves, apartment relocations, storage moves, furniture transportation, office moves, and situations where they simply need an extra set of capable hands. When requesting a quote, let us know what kind of transportation you are using. Tell us roughly how much needs to be moved, where you need the help, whether stairs or elevators are involved, and the date you are planning to move. If you already know the size of the rental truck or container, that information can be useful too. The job does not need to be complicated. You already have the transportation covered. We help with the part that involves lifting, carrying, loading, and unloading. |
Can you possibly just load my rental truck?
Yes. If you already have a rental truck, trailer, moving container, or other transportation arranged, you can hire help specifically for loading. Tell us the size of the vehicle, approximate amount being moved, property access, and whether large furniture is involved.
Can I book unloading only?
Yes. If the truck or container is already arriving full, you can request help getting everything into the new property. Labels on boxes make this much easier because items can be brought closer to the rooms where they actually belong.
How much does loading and unloading help cost?
The quote depends mainly on the amount being moved, number of movers required, stairs or elevators, and how long the work is expected to take. Tell us what transportation you are using and what is inside it so we can understand the job.
What should I have ready before the loading crew arrives?
Have boxes closed, furniture cleared of loose belongings, and the walkway between the home and vehicle reasonably open. If something is especially heavy or awkward, mention it beforehand. Good preparation means more of the booked time goes toward actually moving your belongings.
