The Boxes Always Seem to Multiply
Packing usually starts with good intentions. You pack a few things early, tell yourself the rest will only take a couple of evenings, and then suddenly the moving date is getting close and there are still cupboards, closets, drawers, furniture, and random items everywhere. That part of moving catches a lot of people off guard. 2 Friends Trucking and Moving provides packing services in Delta, BC for customers who want help getting their belongings ready before moving day.
Some people need help with almost everything. Others have already packed most of the house and only need assistance finishing the job. Both situations are completely normal. The goal is not to make packing more complicated. It is to get the belongings organized and ready so moving day itself runs more smoothly.

Packing the House in a Way That Actually Makes SenseOne of the easiest mistakes is packing everything without thinking about where it needs to go later.
That creates more work at the destination. A better approach is to pack room by room whenever possible. Kitchen items stay together. Bedroom belongings stay together. Office items stay together. Boxes should be labelled clearly enough that someone unloading them can understand where they belong without needing to ask about every single box. Fragile items should also be easy to identify. Another useful idea is keeping the things you will need immediately after the move separate from everything else. Think about chargers, medications, toiletries, a change of clothes, basic kitchen items, important documents, keys, and anything needed that evening or the next morning. Those belongings should not disappear underneath twenty other boxes in the back of a moving truck. Packing with the unpacking process in mind can save a surprising amount of frustration. |

Full Packing or Just a Little Extra HelpNot every customer needs the same level of packing service. A family might need help finishing an entire house. Someone living in an apartment might only need assistance preparing furniture and fragile belongings.
A business could need help organizing workplace items before an office relocation. Another customer might simply be running out of time and need an extra set of hands before moving day. That is why it helps to explain what has already been completed and what still needs attention. Packing assistance can also be combined with other moving services. If you are hiring us for the move itself, packing beforehand can make the entire process more straightforward. If you only need packing help, that can also be discussed depending on the job. The important thing is knowing what needs to be prepared and how soon the move is happening. |

Frequently Asked 'Packing & Unpacking Services' Questions
Can you pack only part of my home?
Yes. Packing help does not necessarily mean handing over the entire house. Some customers only need help with the kitchen, fragile items, artwork, or a few rooms while they handle the easier belongings themselves. Let us know which parts you want help with when requesting the quote.
Do I need everything packed before moving day?
If you are not booking packing services, having boxes closed and ready before the movers arrive usually makes the move faster and more organized. If you know you will not finish in time, tell us beforehand so packing help can be discussed instead of discovering dozens of loose items on moving day.
How much do packing services cost?
Packing costs depend on how much needs to be packed, how many rooms are involved, whether you need full or partial packing, and the materials required. Packing one kitchen is very different from preparing an entire house. Give us a rough idea of what remains and we can include it in the quote.
Can packing services be booked together with my move?
Yes. Packing and moving can be planned together so the belongings are prepared before loading begins. Tell us how much you plan to pack yourself and what you would rather have help with. That gives us a much clearer idea of the work involved.
